Package Includes:
- Plant & People Walk. Discover some of the fascinating uses of marsh and prairie plants and their special significance to Indigenous Peoples (Grade 3 – 12). Available from May – October.
- Choose additional programs from:
- Animal Teachers. Through a sharing circle and interactive activities, discover how animals can be great teachers! Learn the importance of various wetland animals to Indigenous cultures. (Grade 2 – 4)
- Explore Watersheds. Through a demonstration model and various activities and games, students learn the importance of wetlands and watersheds. (Grade 7 – 12)
- Indigenous Games. Engage in fun, interactive, and challenging games that teach important skills and lessons. These games were and still are playing by Indigenous groups in the area. (Grade 3 – 12)
- Geocaching*. Learn the basics of how GPS works. Geocaching is a run way to practice using a GPS, which is an important tool used by wildlife researchers in the field. (Grade 7 – 12)
- Bannock Bake*. Learn the history behind Bannock and how to make it yourself! Prepare your own Bannock and cook it over the fire. (Grade 3 – 12)
