Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre and COVID-19

As the situation around novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we are doing everything we can to ensure your safety and provide maximum flexibility related to your visit and bookings at the Interpretive Centre.

Your Safety

The safety and security of our visitors and employees is our top priority. In response to COVID-19, we have taken additional measures developed in consultation with local public health authorities to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols even more rigorous:

  • Our staff is receiving ongoing briefings and enhanced operating protocols.
  • We have increased the cleaning frequency of our public areas (including lobby, elevators, door handles, public bathrooms, exhibit areas, etc.) and we are using hospital-grade disinfectant.
  • We continue to adjust our food and beverage service in accordance with current food safety recommendations.
  • We have increased the placement of antibacterial hand sanitizers throughout the Interpretive Centre.

Your Booking Flexibility

We are committed to offering you flexible booking options. Given the unique circumstances, we are making additional adjustments and exceptions to our booking policies:

  • New and Existing Reservations: All school group, tour and meeting room bookings – even those described as “non-refundable” – can be changed or cancelled at no charge up to 48 hours before your scheduled arrival until further notice.

We have made these changes so that you feel safe and welcomed during your visit to the Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre and to uphold the great standard of service you have come to expect from us.
