Themed Critter Dipping (May-October): Water Bugs
Explore underwater life by catching critters, then use magnifiers to identify your water bugs! Note: During winter months when Critter Dipping is unavailable, you may select a different program within your grade package.

Themed Marshwalk: Colours
Journey through the marsh and experience all the different colours within this natural landscape.

Bird Beaks & Feet
Wetland birds use their beaks and feet to eat, hunt, swim, and walk – But different kinds of birds have different needs. Learn how their different beaks and feet help them in their habitats!

Reptiles & Amphibians
Explore the similarities and differences between these two vertebrate species. Find out why wetlands play such an important role in these sensitive creatures’ lives.

Ecology Games
Learn about animal behaviours and interactions by playing high-energy, interactive games. Can be played outside, weather permitting.

Seasonal Changes
Plants and animals change throughout the year to survive, we will explore some of these that call the Marsh home.

 

Maternelle : 30 – 45 minutes par présentation

Chasse au Bibittes (mai à octobre) : Petites bibittes
Explorez la vie aquatique en attrapant des bibittes à l’aide d’un filet. Identifiez les invertébrés aquatiques, puis tomponnez un bocal en papier que vous ramènerez à la maison. Veuillez noter : vous avez le choix d’un programme additionnel quand le programme Chasse aux Bibittes n’est pas disponible en hiver.

Randonnée thématique : Microclimats (Où trouvons-nous les animaux?)
Explorez les sentiers et découvrez pourquoi les terres humides sont importantes. À chaque niveau, nous explorons un thème basé sur le programme d’études des sciences de la nature.

Becs & pattes
Les oiseaux des terres humides utilisent leur bec et leur pattes pour manger, chasser, nager et marcher, mais ils sont différents les uns des autres, pourquoi? Nous explorerons les caratéristiques des oiseaux.

Reptiles & amphibiens
Explorez les similitudes et les différences entre ces deux groupes d’animaux. Découvrez pourquoi les terres humides jouent un rôle si important dans la vie de ces vertébrés.

Jeux écologiques
Apprenez à connaître les comportements et les interactions des animaux en jouant à des jeux interactifs. Ils peuvent être joués à l’intérieur, si le temps ne permet pas d’être à l’extérieur.

Au fil des seasons
Les plantes et les animaux changent tout au long de l’année pour survivre. Nous explorerons certains d’entre eux qui vivent dans le marais.
