Birds, Birds and more birds!
Species you can see at Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre
Oak Hammock Marsh has played home to 300 species of birds. 193 of these occur on a regular basis. The wetland is a staging area for waterfowl and shorebirds during migration, which is a great time to visit the Interpretive Centre. It also hosts a wide variety of songbirds, including some Manitoba specialties such as Yellow rail, Nelson’s sparrow, and LeConte’s sparrow.
