Project WET

Water education for teachers and youth leaders.

Water is essential to life, and there’s no better way to help young people learn about water than a hands-on educational activity from Project WET!

Project WET is one of Harry J. Enns Wetland Discovery Centre’s programs for youth group leaders and educators. If you work with children in grades K-12, you’ll love this collection of hands-on water-related activities that are informative, fun and easy to use.

Come to us! Project WET is available at the Centre’s world-class education facility. 50,000 students visit the Centre each year! Or, we can come to you. For groups of 12 or more, we can deliver the Project WET program in a spot of your choosing. Your workshop registration is just $40 (mileage fee applies) and includes five-one hour sessions to introduce you to water education using the 500 page curriculum and activity guide. You keep the guidebook at the end of the day.

Project WET activities promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are easily integrated into many subject areas. Register for a Project WET workshop to find out how you can include these activities in subjects like earth and physical sciences, language arts, social studies, fine arts, cultural studies and more! Try out a Project WET activity with your class during your next field trip to Oak Hammock Marsh. Ask us about this program when booking.
