Daily Activities

Explore the marsh all year round with a variety of daily activities.

  • Join an interpreter on the trails for a seasonal guided walk through the marsh.
  • Discover the creatures living in the waters of the marsh and learn about their adaptations with a close-up view.
  • Paddle amongst the plants and animals of the marsh in our large voyageur canoes.
  • Rent your own canoe for an hour and explore the marsh at your own pace (call ahead to reserve).
  • Strap on some snowshoes and explore the winter marsh looking for animal tracks.
  • Nature Surveys – Help us count our critters. Join an interpreter on one of the daily nature surveys to expand the Centre’s database of species.
    • Daily (April to mid-July) – Frogs (4 p.m.)
    • Mondays (May to end of September) – Butterflies (3 p.m.)
    • Tuesdays (May to end of September) – Birds (3 p.m.)
    • Wednesdays (May to end of September) – Fish (3 p.m.)
    • Thursdays (May to end of September) – Dragonflies (3 p.m.)
    • Fridays (May to end of September) – Songbird Banding (8 a.m.) – No banding on August 26
